Ford’s owner’s manual for the 2023 Expedition with the 3.5L engine recommends Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C961-A1. If Motorcraft oil isn’t available, use an SAE 5W-30 oil that shows the API Certification Mark for gasoline engines. Engine oil capacity is 6.0 qt (5.7 L) including the oil filter.
Oil Filter

When to Change the Oil
The Expedition’s Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor shows a message at the proper oil change interval. Ford says this interval may be up to one year or 10,000 mi (16,000 km), and not to exceed one year or 10,000 mi between service intervals.
