Lexus’s owner’s manual for the 2024 TX 350 (T24A-FTS) calls for Toyota Genuine Motor Oil or an equivalent ILSAC GF-6A multigrade engine oil, with a recommended viscosity of SAE 0W-20. Oil capacity is 5.6 qt (5.3 L) with the filter and 5.3 qt (5.0 L) without.
Can I Use 5W-20?
Only as a stopgap. Lexus calls SAE 0W-20 the best choice for fuel economy and cold starting. If it isn’t available, SAE 5W-20 may be used, but it must be replaced with 0W-20 at the next oil change.
Checking the Level After a Change
The capacity is a reference quantity for a drain and refill. When adding oil, keep the level between the low level mark and the refill upper limit mark: warm up and turn off the engine, wait about 5 minutes, then check the dipstick.
