Ford’s owner’s manual for the 2024 Mustang with the 5.0L engine recommends Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C961-A1. When to Change the Oil
The Mustang’s Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor displays a message in the information display when an oil change is due. The manual’s guideline examples range from 7,000-10,000 mi (11,000-16,000 km) for normal use down to 3,000-5,000 mi (4,800-8,000 km) for extreme use, and it says not to exceed one year or 10,000 mi (16,000 km) between service intervals.
