Complete Oil Specifications
Nissan’s owner’s manual for the 2024 Pathfinder (3.5L 6-cylinder (VQ35DD engine model)) recommends Genuine NISSAN Motor Oil 0W-20 SP or an equivalent. If Genuine NISSAN oil isn’t available, a synthetic 0W-20 GF-6A SP oil may be used. Engine oil drain and refill capacity is about 5-1/8 US qt (4.8 L) with an oil filter change, or 4-3/4 US qt (4.5 L) without.

The Pathfinder’s oil control system can bring the oil replacement indicator on sooner under severe driving. When it comes on, change the oil and filter within two weeks or before you drive 500 miles (800 km).
Warranty Note
The manual says damage caused by motor oil other than the recommended oil isn’t covered under Nissan’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
