Complete Oil Specifications
Volvo’s US owner’s manual for the 2022 XC60 says fully synthetic engine oil, at least 0W-20 C6 (API SP), must be used; Volvo recommends VCC C6SP SAE 0W-20 and Castrol Edge Professional engine oil. Lower oil grades don’t offer the same fuel economy, engine performance and engine protection. Engine oil volume is about 6.1 L (6.45 US qt) including the oil filter. The vehicle leaves the factory with synthetic oil.
